1985
Establishment of the company “Grass-Treppenlifte“ by the owner Dipl. Ing. Gerd Grass, in rented areas,
in Lemgo, with 2 coworkers. Development and building of stairlifts. Among them still today (in improved
technology) the type T80.
Acquisition of a building in the new industrial area, Lemgo West. Removal and manufacturing in the new
surroundings with 25 coworkers at the end of the year.
1990
Establishment of the new office building and moving in. Development of a chairlift type T50 and type T55. The number of employees rises to approx. 35. On the average 4 plants per week are manufactured.
1991
A second building is built, the number of coworkers rises to 45. Further developments transacted. Weekly production rises to approx.. 8 plants.
1992
Establishment of the third building, restructuring of the operational sequences, extension of the distribution and the assembly department, coworker approx. 55. Production and enterprises constantly grow, the management decide to sell the enterprise. “Thyssen Aufzüge“ acquires the enterprise “Grass Treppenlifte“ to 01.10.1993 to 100%. All patents and manufacturing rights are with “Thyssen Aufüzge GmbH“. All coworkers, except the management, are taken over. The name “Grass Treppenlifte“ excists still another year.
1994
October the 1st: Rename in “Thyssen Treppenlifte GmbH“. Assumption of the company “Schaub- Treppenlifte“ from Freiburg in Breisgau. Through the assumption the number of employees increases to approx. 85. The distribution for Germany and the customer service line are relocated to Freiburg. The manufacturing of chairlifts is taken from the production programme. The stairlift type “Konstanz“ will be developed and taken up to the manufacturing. In Lemgo are approx. 55 coworkers busily, the monthly manufacturing is on the average 50 plants. In the following years the machine guideline is introduced among other things. The stair lifts are manufactured after these guidelines and receive a CE marking.
2000
Change of the management with drastic changes. Among other things: Dissolution of the location Freiburg. Neuss becomes the new distribution location for direct customers. The distribution for “Wiederverkaeufer Germany“ is realised over England. Here the market breaks in nearly completely.
2002
In March the concern decides the shutdown of the manufacturing location Lemgo. In tough negotiations the coworkers are successful in convincing the company of the further leading of the enterprise on their own. They want to continue the manufacturing and selling of the well placed products at the market.
2003
The reestablishment of the company “Lippe Lift- und Anlagenbau GmbH“ is successfully final. The management consists altogether of former coworkers of the “Thyssen Treppenlifte GmbH“. The production begins from the first day on, with high incoming orders. The (at present) two products T 80 and Konstanz are manufactured and distributed. Since the new beginning 27 former coworkers are involved in the enterprise.
Their experience is our biggest capital!
2008
Since 2004 Lippe Lift- Und Anlagenbau is an apprenticing company. At present there are two apprentices in the technical department and two apprentices in the commercial department. The number of employees increased t0 48.
